The Bharat Shikshan Prasarak Mandal was established with the noble intent of advancing education in the region and facilitating social development.

Prior to the formation of Bharat Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Saoli, there were two separate educational institutions named Vidarbha and Maharashtra Vidyalaya in Saoli. In a significant development, these two institutions merged to form the present entity, Bharat Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Saoli. This amalgamation was made possible through the dedicated efforts of the Acharya Vinoba Bhave and society’s founder, Late Wamanrao Vistari Gaddamwar, a respected figure and former State Minister.

The consolidation of Vidarbha and Maharashtra Vidyalaya into a single educational entity was a strategic move to streamline and strengthen the educational efforts in the region. The founder’s commitment to education, coupled with his influence and leadership, played a crucial role in bringing about this merger. The formation of Bharat Shikshan Prasarak Mandal, Saoli, marked a pivotal moment in the educational landscape of the area, setting the stage for the establishment of Late Wamanro Gaddamwar Arts & Commerce  College in 2013.

The historical roots of the society reflect a deep-seated commitment to education and community welfare, aligning with the principles of Acharya Vinob Bhave’s Bhoodan Movement. The legacy of the founder, Late Wamanrao Vistari Gaddamwar, continues to inspire the institution’s mission to provide higher education to the socially, economically, and educationally disadvantaged sections of society. Through these collective efforts, the society and its affiliated college strive to contribute positively to the educational and social development of the region.
